Simultaneous Equations

Sometimes we are asked to solve a series of equations containing the same variables, there are several methods to solving these equations depending on the number of variables.

When you have only two variables, it is relatively easy to solve using algebraic means, such as equating, elimination or substitution methods.
More than two variables you may find inverse matrix methods and row reduction methods better than algebraic methods.

Equating Method for
two variables

Elimination Method for
two variables

Row Reduction Method
for two or more variables

Substitution Method for
two variables

Inverse Matrix Method
for two or more variables
