Anyone who participates on any of the courses can purchase any sections of the
Fug’s Friendly Guide to Statistics at discounted prices. (See outlines for more information about the book.
1. One to One tutorials usually for an hour with notes and worksheets to supplement the lecturer’s notes. This is worthwhile doing at the start of semester as once you get lost it is a long struggle to get back on track.
The cost is $50 per hour
2. Small Group tutorials usually two hours with notes and worked examples. This can be helpful for revision when tests and examinations are looming. It is still available for the whole semester and is slightly cheaper than one-to-one.
The cost is $30 per hour per person for groups of 2-3.
The cost is $25 per hour per person for groups of 4-6.
3. Day workshops usually 5 hours and they cover the main areas of a basic Statistics course. These are most helpful before beginning the statistics course. These workshops are available throughout the year.
The cost is $100 per person with lunch included. (minimum 8 people)
4. Short courses consisting of one hour tutorials for 10 weeks, this is most suitable for research groups. The course content can be adapted to suit any research from business to medical fields. All notes are provided and the times and venue for tutorials are flexible.
The cost is from $200 per hour depending on numbers.
5. Statistical consultations for researchers usually an hour depending on the complexity. This is most helpful at the beginning of a project or in the discussion of results stages.
The cost is from $60 per hour.
