Student One

Hi Anne Did the exams today, I think I did very well , so happy
My feedback

Should I have advertised more and sooner in the semester?
Yes, and tell one of student who has been to one to explain to other students how it was useful, as im happy to do that anytime.

Is a workshop before the first test worth running again?
I did not come for that , I wish I had as I had to work the same day , im sure it will be really good have one at this point.

Did the price charged appear fair?
Yes , I totally agree

If it had been higher price, would you have still attended?
Yes for sure , its really worth while.

Are the notes sufficient to reflect the content of the workshop?
Its one of the BEST notes i got , thank you so much for that

Would you recommend the workshops to other students?
For sure , as it was really good for me.

Student Two

Hi Anne, just giving some feedback for you on the workshop.

I think the workshop helped a lot! (saying that after doing the maths exam this afternoon). The content covered was great and the notes were a valuable study tool I found. The price was great, seeing as a tutor is normally around $50 for an hour, and group study is always helpful because different people ask different questions.
I would highly recommend the workshop to other students because it helped me a lot and I felt confident coming out of the exam... and I'm not that keen on maths honestly, so it was a great feeling.
Thank you very much for the help throughout the semester -

Student Three

Hi Anne,
The workshops were quite helpful. I can't confidently say that I passed the final exam but if I do have to redo the course I would definitely attend your workshop again.

The price charged seemed fair. I am only a student, so much more that $59 probably would have deterred me a little. Two hours seemed a reasonable time limit for the workshop, but I did find myself struggling to stay focussed by the end of it. It is probably worth pointing out though, that this was largely due to the lack of sleep I'd had during study week, and not the content or presentation. Maybe substitute the pitcher of O J with a pot of coffee... =)
Overall, the workshop did help a lot to focus my study for Stats 101. Prior to the workshop, I was really unsure how to approach my studies for the exam.

Cheers Anne for your help!

 Comments on my teaching style

Read the last one aimed at my lack of height

She doesn't bombard you with questions but goes through a few at a time with well thought out explanations and she doesn’t use mathematical jargon which is over our heads but explains things in a way that can be understood

I personally thought that Anne was one of the best tutors or teachers that i have ever had. She not only always made sure every student understood, but she actually made maths a bit more fun and light hearted. Her help through the semester seemed to lighten the load a little for other subjects, as i got so much help for maths that i did not struggle at all.

Anne is a fantastic tutor. She is so enthusiastic, but always ready to listen. She allows us to ask questions when needed and always answers them in a simple straightforward manner. Helping students understand difficult concepts in an area that most people struggle.

Anne reduces large problems to explainable elements. she is really willing and enthusiastic to help especially if you need it. bright and bubbly personality, very helpful notes that are straight to the point and easy to understand, quickly responds to questions even when out of the classroom environment

She is able to simply difficult concepts so that all students understand, not just student who might have already cover some statistics. Also she is very polite and friendly, never goes without answer a students question to the best of her ability.
She really gets the point across and if one can not understand her, you can not understand anyone.

OK Anne, so i technically didn’t ACTUALLY have you as a lecturer/tutor, but when i need help you are the first person that comes to mind, as you are easy to approach, VERY knowledgeable and you don’t abuse people for not knowing! you also answer e-mails quickly, and give useful, GOOD answers! thanks for being there for me.

As well as the points covered above Anne more importantly tried to teach the underlying concepts of stats 101 which was far more beneficial to myself as i was at a loss most of this semester. Anne is also able to TEACH... its no good being knowledgeable in a subject without having the skills to teach it to others.

Personal teaching and approachable; Anne is very easy to talk to and approach when assistance is required. Very knowledgeable; Anne is extremely clever and always shows several ways to approaching problems so that we can find the method that suits us best. Help; always send me advise and help through e-mails, although i struggle with maths and cannot understand a lot of what we did be even worse off without her!

clip_image008"maybe a bit taller so she can utilise the white board, especially the top corners" ha ha not much,
one of the better tutors around Curtin.
