There are three conditions that have to be satisfied for a function to be continuous, it is a piece-wise function usually in these questions.
The function is defined at that point so we know a pattern for every x possibleie x < 2, x = 2 and x > 2 Look for the equals sign somewhere in the piece-wise function!
The limit of the function must exist at the point in question: the function must aim for the same value from above and below the point in question.
The value of the function at the point must be the same as the value of the limit at the point in question
